About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Services Officer to join the Financial Services team at Baw Shire Council. As an experienced and dedicated professional, you will provide support to the Financial Services team.  You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including performing data entry, processing payments, reconciling ledger control accounts and undertaking general accounting duties.

The successful applicant will have a demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service, the ability to problem solve and will have impeccable integrity and professionalism.

About the successful candidate

  • Highly developed interpersonal skills to establish positive and effective working relationships with a wide range of people.
  • Demonstrated experience in verbal and written communication to reflect a professional standard to interaction, in dealing with management, employees, external organisations and their representatives.
  • Demonstrated skills in managing time, planning and organising own work and setting priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and positively contribute to the team.
  • Local Government experience and relevant degree is desirable
