The Role

The Coordinator Public Health Unit will be a qualified Environmental Health Officer enthusiastic to be involved across every aspect of environmental and public health. You will not be limited to singular functions within this diverse role. You will be expected to to have several years of current and contemporary environmental, public health and risk management experience, preferably within Victoria.
You will manage the public health function to achieve a high standard of health and wellbeing in the community by continuing to ensure best practice service delivery and public health risk assessments across all aspects of food safety, waste water, health premises, caravan parks, public health complaints, sampling regimes and dedicated public health projects unique to Baw Baw; inclusive of work and projects being delivered under arrangements with other organisations such as Melbourne and Gippsland Water. This position will liaise seamlessly across the organisation and with peers across wider Gippsland and metropolitan Melbourne.

The successful candidate will have, along with relevant qualifications and experience, demonstrated negotiation skills and a strong sense of priority for public health risks and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
